I am a student studying Creative Technologies at Auckland University of Technology. I am in my second year and have chosen to take electives in Immersive Envorinments and Animation.

Past Works from first year

Sound installation

We were asked to make an installation or presentation of sounds collected from around the city and other non musical sounds. With these recorded we were asked to create a sound track intended to evoke an emotion or response. We used a series of laptops as you see below and had sounds from all over the world coming in through skype. The live feeds were put through a mixer and played as a sound experience.

Wearable interface

I was asked to create a wearable interface that controls some sort of media. I created a pair of gloves that changed trhe visual effects on a first person free runner video. Touching the fingertips together closes a switch inside a keyboard hack, which then changes the visuals.

Ink Robot

We created a robot that created art. Our robot runs on tracks and drops ink into a water tank to music. This had a very cool effect watching the patterns in the tank change to the music that was played to the robot. The robot acted as a physical visualiser for music.
